Our food is freshly prepared and cooked onsite in our grade II listed Country pub by our chef who has more than 30 years experience. Where possible, we will source local produce in order to support local producers and the environment. As such our menu will change every months to benefit from the best seasonal produce.

Some current (08/01/2009) dishes on the menu include :
Roast Belly of Pork with leek and onion mash, Savoy cabbage served with a Guinness and Honey sauce £10.95
Fillets of Sea Bass served on crushed new potatoes and wilted spinach finished with a caper and back pepper butter £13.95
Peppered Beef Pie with a shortcrust pastry served with potatoes and vegetables £8.95

We pride ourselves on stocking excellent wines and keeping our beers, whether real ales, ciders or lager, in excellent condition so whatever your tipple you can be sure that it will be of an excellent standard.

Our regular ales are London Pride (4.1% abv) and Harveys Sussex Best Bitter (4.0% abv). We also have a third ale on tap for your enjoyment which is usually from a local brewery.

We have just been chosen as one of six national Finalists in the Publican awards 2009 in the "Best newcomer" category.
